The Hampshire Area & South East Hants Group of the Ramblers are organising an event to celebrate the ninth anniversary of the South Downs National Park.  All are welcome.

It is at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park Centre, near Petersfield in Hampshire (grid reference SU 719 186) on Saturday 30th March at 10.30 am.

The view from Butser Hill near Petersfield. The hill is owned by Hampshire County Council.

Join us in the marquee at the back of the Centre for tea or coffee. There will be short presentations from Kate Ashbrook, general secretary of the Open Spaces Society and chair of the Ramblers GB, and Margaret Paren, Chair of the South Downs National Park Authority.

Then there will be a 6-7 mile walk around the country park and down to Buriton.  It will be led by Jim Byrne.

On returning to the centre, walkers can enjoy tea and cake.
