Chair of the Chilterns Commons Network, serving the 187 registered commons
in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Member of the Chiltern Society from its conception, founder of its Rights of
Way group. Successful claimant of 11 definitive Rights of Way in fenced
woodland in the Chilterns following a 10 year campaign (1987-1997).
Active in local parish council and Downley Common Preservation Society (both
affiliated to the Open Spaces Society) in building community identity and
pride, including village walk, Downley Day Fete, November 5th procession and
bonfire, village map and village beacon, all involving the common. |
