| A member of the society for many years and an
active Rotarian, John is involved in a variety of local activities. An
enthusiastic walker he has a keen interest in the countryside and in its
protection. A chartered accountant, until he retired in 1997, he was
formerly finance director of Lombard North Central plc and a director of a
number of other companies. Married to Maureen and living in Potten End,
Hertfordshire, he has two married daughters and now two little
granddaughters, whom he describes as 'two of the best possible reasons for
preserving our rights to the countryside'. |
